Trade Mission to Southeast Asia

Minister Fast launched trade mission to Southeast Asia to deepen Canada’s commercial engagement in the region. The trade mission took place from August 27 to September 3, 2012.
Following official working visits to Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia, Minister Fast co-chaired the first Canada-ASEAN Economic Ministers Meeting. The mission headed to Burma, where the first visit was made by a Canadian trade minister to that emerging economy.
