Backgrounder: Canadian companies on the 2018 Global Cleantech 100 list

The Cleantech Group (CTG) released the Global Cleantech 100 list at the Cleantech Forum San Francisco on January 22, 2018. The list recognizes clean technology companies that are the most likely to have a significant market impact over the next five to 10 years. This year, Canada took 13 out of the 100 spots on the list.

This list is collated by the CTG. To qualify for the list, companies must be independent, for-profit, clean technology companies that are not listed on any major stock exchange. The 86-member expert panel is drawn from leading financial investors and representatives of multinational corporations and industries active in technology and innovation scouting across Asia, Europe and North America.
