International Trade Minister Ed Fast Applauds Canadian Companies Expanding into High-Growth India
November 7, 2011 - Pune, India - During the fifth day of his week-long trade mission to India, the Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway, visited Valiant-TMS Systems Pvt Ltd in Pune, Maharashtra, India. The Minister travelled to Pune, an engineering hub in India, to visit the operations of Canadian companies present in the growing Indian automotive sector. The Minister’s goal for his visit is to raise the profile of Canada’s manufacturing industry and to highlight the strengths of Canada as a technologically advanced country and to showcase the success of current Canadian automotive industry operations in India. He also learned more about the company’s present capacity, future expansion plans and discussed the potential challenges in operating in India.
Valiant-TMS System Private Limited is the Indian subsidiary of Valiant Corp, headquartered in Windsor, Ontario. Valiant, with a presence in eight countries, is one of the world’s leading providers of engineering services and manufacturers of flexible automatic production systems. It currently employs about 35 employees at its operations in Pune.
