Declarations Guide: Schedule 3 Chemicals

You have been involved in the previous calendar year in producing any chemical listed in Schedule 3 that meets or exceeds both of the following C.N.A. declaration thresholds :

CNA Thresholds for Schedule 3 chemicals

Quantitative Thresholds
3 tonnes or more of any chemical listed in Schedule 3.

Concentration Thresholds
Mixture's containing 25% or more by weight of the Schedule 3 chemical.

Note for importers and exporters:
Importers and exporters must declare any quantity transferred if the concentration threshold is exceeded (i.e. the quantity threshold is zero).

Schedule 3 Annual Past Declaration Questions

Company / Institution
Name of company or institution completing the form. The company / institution operating the plant site or facility dealing with the Scheduled chemicals should complete and submit declarations.

The Canadian National Authority (C.N.A.) must receive the declarations from the operators of such plant sites or facilities. These operators may or may not be the actual owners.

The facsimile number with area code, of the person listed as the contact.

The internet e-mail address of the person listed as the contact.

IUPAC chemical name
Use the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) formal system of nomenclature to identify the Schedule 3 chemical.Do not use common or trade names in place of the IUPAC name unless they are specifically listed in Schedule 3.

Trade Name
Common name or trade name that the product is known by.

Quantity produced
Production range of the Schedule 3 chemical produced at the plant site.

Purpose of production
Specify the purpose of production.
