Export and import controls

Note:

Regardless of whether a permit, certificate or other authorization is issued or granted under the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA), importers and exporters are nonetheless responsible for determining whether additional requirements apply.  These requirements may include additional authorizations (e.g. licence, registration, permit or certificate) based on the intended use (e.g. export/transfer, import, or domestic examination, possession, or transfer) of the good or technology. Questions should be directed to the relevant department or agency.
