Welcome to the website of the Embassy of Canada to the State of Kuwait!

Since I arrived in November 2021, I have had the pleasure of discovering many connections between Canada and Kuwait, and I am excited to continue to build this important relationship.

Canada and Kuwait have enjoyed strong bilateral ties since diplomatic relations were established in 1965. Both countries have a rich history of openness to the world and we continue to move the relationship forward based on our common interests in trade, peace and security and humanitarian affairs, and on our extensive people-to-people connections. 

Today, over 7,000 Canadians live and work in Kuwait. They are active in key sectors such as oil and gas, education, life sciences, financial services and engineering, and are helping daily to grow Canada-Kuwait ties. We are also fortunate to have many Kuwaitis studying and working in Canada who are important bridges between our two countries.
