Welcome message video from Ambassador of Canada to Panama, H.E. Kim Ursu

Hello, I am Kim Ursu, Canada’s Ambassador to Panama, and I would like to welcome you to the Embassy of Canada’s website and social media channels.

Our embassy today is much more than an office and diplomatic correspondence. We live and work here to understand the local cultures, and build bridges for the mutual good of both of our countries.

Canada and Panama have a strong relationship - 60 years of diplomatic relations. And we share many values in common: democracy; human rights, including gender equality and LGBTI; environmental protection; and economic prosperity through open, inclusive, and rules-based international trade.

My family and I are so happy to be in Panama, exploring the amazing biodiversity, innovation and multiculturalism here. Every year, thousands more Canadians visit, invest and live in Panama as well, strengthening the people-to-people ties between our countries.

Canada and Panama are neighbours, allies and friends. We matter to each other today, and we are working together for a brighter tomorrow.

I invite you to engage with us through social media or the points of contact you will find on our website. We can’t wait to hear from you.
