Citizenship services

Complete your citizenship application before booking an appointment to present your documents in person.

Citizenship certificates pick-ups are Sunday to Thursday between 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm.

Notarial services

The office provides the following notarial services, by appointment only, to Canadian citizens and, in limited cases, to non-Canadian citizens if the documents are intended for use in Canada.

Note: Documents must be in English or French, or accompanied by an official translation in English or French.

  • Authenticate the original Canadian birth certificate, Canadian marriage certificate or Canadian diploma
  • Letter of facilitation for changing of nationality on Saudi Residency ID (Iqama)
  • Letter of facilitation for transferring the Saudi visa information from the old to the new passport
  • "No objection" letter (in case of death)

Payment method

Notarial services can be paid by credit card.

Payments are processed through an online processing agent. Please complete the authorization form. The form must reflect the exact charges for services requested and be completed in Canadian dollars. Failure to complete the form in full or authorize the correct fees may result in delays to your application.

Passport services

You can pay online for all your passport services before completing your passport application.

Book an appointment to present your documents in person. An authorization letter will be required from applicant(s) who are not able to come in personally.

Passport pick-ups are Sunday to Wednesday between 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm.

Processing times

The processing time for a passport application submitted abroad is 20 business days. This 20-day period only starts once we have a complete and accurate application and does not include postal delivery time. Processing times may change depending on the volume of applications received and are not guaranteed. Complexity of routine verifications and security checks leads to longer processing times.
