Message to Industry - Requirement to provide Manufacturer (MID) and Importer of Record (IOR) Information

Starting February 16th, 2025, when applying for export permits for products to be exported to the United States under the Tariff Preference Level program, applicants will be required to provide the Manufacturer (MID) and Importer of Record (IOR) information.

Exporters may visit the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website for information on IOR and information on MID.

Effective February 16th, 2025, please use the updated version of permit application form 1466, including the new fields, for export and import permit applications not done through the New Export Import Control System (NEICS).

Previously downloaded version of form 1466 must be replaced with the updated version.

To download and complete the form simply right click on the link, select “save as”, and complete the subsequent pop-up options unique to your browser or device. Once downloaded you will need to open the Portable Document Format (PDF) form in a desktop browser. Forms will not work in a web browser based PDF viewer.
