CUSMA: Butter and Cream Powder TRQ - Serial No. 1040

This Notice replaces Notice to Importers No. 1018 dated June 15, 2020 and sets out the policies and practices pertaining to the administration of Canada’s tariff rate quota (TRQ) for butter and cream powder under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA).

This Notice to Importers is provided pursuant to the authority of the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA) and its corresponding regulations, and remains in effect until further notice.

1. Definitions

Butter means a product that is included in Items 159 to 160 of the Import Control List (ICL), namely butter falling under tariff items. 0405.10.10, 0405.20.10, 0405.90.10, and Cream Powder means a product that is included in Items 119 and 120 of the ICL, namely cream powder falling under tariff items 0402.21.21 and 0402.29.21 in the list of tariff provisions set out in the Schedule to the Customs Tariff.
