CUSMA: Yogurt and Buttermilk TRQ - Serial No. 1086

This Notice replaces Notice to Importers No. 1023 dated June 15, 2020 and sets out the policies and practices pertaining to the administration of Canada’s tariff rate quota (TRQ) for yogurt and buttermilk under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA).

This Notice is provided pursuant to the authority of the Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA) and its corresponding regulations, and remains in effect until further notice.

1. Definitions

Yogurt means a product that is included in Item  158 on the Import Control List (ICL), namely yogurt falling under tariff item No.   0403.20.29 in the list of tariff provisions set out in the Schedule to the Customs Tariff.

Buttermilk means a product that is included in Item 124 on the Import Control List (ICL), namely buttermilk falling under tariff item No. 0403.90.91 in the list of tariff provisions set out in the Schedule to the Customs Tariff.
