CETA Civil Society Forum Call for Participation

Canada-EU Civil Society Forum: Trade and Sustainable Development under the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA)

Representatives from inter alia employers, unions, labour and business organisations, environmental groups, Indigenous organisations, and other relevant civil society organisations are invited to a meeting on 12 September 2018 of the Civil Society Forum established under the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA).

Officials from the Government of Canada and from the European Commission will exchange views with the participants on the sustainable development aspects of CETA, including on implementation of Chapter 22 (Trade and Sustainable Development), Chapter 23 (Trade and Labour) and Chapter 24 (Trade and Environment).

CETA was signed in Brussels on 30 October 2016 and has been provisionally applied since 21 September 2017. Read The text of the Trade and Sustainable Development Chapter.
