1. Opening remarks and adoption of the agenda

2. Debrief on the sixth Civil Society Forum meeting

3. Information exchange on trade and environment and trade and climate action policy developments

• Update on respective developments on trade and environment and trade and climate, including:
  • Ongoing bilateral and regional trade and environment negotiations of the two Parties
  • Carbon pricing and border carbon adjustments, such as the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)
• Priorities for cooperation and overview of activities, including under the Trade, Climate and Paris Recommendation.

4. Information exchange on trade and labour policy developments and initiatives

• Latest International Labour Organization (ILO) ratifications
• Update on policy and legislative approaches to tackling labour exploitation in global supply chains.
• ILO Global Coalition for Social Justice
• Exchange of information on cooperation in/cooperation with third countries - Bangladesh, Vietnam, Andean countries, others.
• Exchange of experience in trade and labour negotiations

5. Discussion on Trade and Gender

6. Trade and Sustainable Development (TSD) Early Review

• Parties will discuss next steps for the Trade and Sustainable Development early review, with a view to agreeing on a workplan to re-engage on the early review.

7. Discussion on Work Plan for 2024 and next steps moving forward

• The Parties will discuss the 2024 work plan, including its format and timeline, with a view to including a meaningful and realistic set of cooperation activities.

8. General discussion between Domestic Advisory Groups (DAGs) and TSD Chairs and Co-Chairs

• Debrief by the Parties from the Trade and Sustainable Development Committee discussions
• Exchange of views between the DAGs chairs and the Parties

9. Wrap-Up and Closing Remarks
