Virtual public session following the meeting of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) Environment Committee
The Parties to the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) will convene on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 in Washington, D.C., for the third meeting of the CUSMA Environment Committee. Canada is represented on the CUSMA Environment Committee by senior government officials from Environment and Climate Change Canada and Global Affairs Canada.
Immediately following the meeting, the Environment Committee will hold a virtual public session from 16:00 to 17:00 (EDT) with interested stakeholders from Canada, the United States and Mexico. During the public session, the Committee will answer questions from the public and share information on the Parties’ implementation of the obligations under the CUSMA Environment Chapter. To learn more about this Chapter, please review Chapter 24.
If you wish to submit specific questions in advance of the public session, please send them to tpz@international.gc.ca by Thursday, September 21, 2023. Registered participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions through a moderated chat function during the public session.
