Canada-Korea Free Trade Agreement Proposed HS 2017 Technical Rectifications to Annex 3-A (Section B - Specific Rules of Origin)

The Government of Canada is notifying interested parties of proposed amendments to the Product-Specific Rules of Origin (PSROs) in Annex 3-A of the CKFTA. The proposed amendments are of a technical nature and are necessary to update the CKFTA PSROs to reflect changes resulting from amendments to the Harmonized System (HS) that came into force on January 1, 2017 (HS 2017).

12.01-12.14: Delete headings 12.01-12.14 and the rule of origin applicable thereto and replace with the following:

12.01-12.10

A change from any other chapter.

12.11 

A change to chilled or frozen goods from any other good within that heading or any other heading; or

A change to any other good from chilled or frozen goods within that heading or any other chapter.

12.12-12.14

A change from any other chapter.

2202.90: Delete subheading 2202.90 and the rules of origin applicable thereto and replace with the following:

2202.91-2202.99

A change to beverages containing milk from any other heading, except from heading 04.01 through 04.06 or dairy preparations of subheading 1901.90 containing more than 10 percent by weight of milk solids; or

A change to any other good from any other heading.

2819.10-2853.00: Delete subheadings 2819.10-2853.00 and the rule of origin applicable thereto and replace with the following:

3001.20-3002.90: Delete subheadings 3001.20-3002.90 and the rule of origin applicable thereto and replace with the following:
