Objectives: Support and target the supply and demand side of the sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) needs of women and adolescent girls in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with a focus on neglected areas of SRHR, in order to improve the SRHR of women and adolescent girls in the provinces of Kinshasa, Kasaï (Tshikapa) and Kasaï-Central (Kananga).
Eligibility (by invitation only)
Organizations invited to submit a concept note have demonstrated experience operating in a fragile and conflict-affected area (development and stabilization). They meet the following preliminary criteria:
- they have sectoral expertise in SRHR in the DRC (at least 2 years) and in-depth knowledge of partners involved in the sector
- they have experience working with civil society organizations, especially those led by women
- they have significant experience (at least 5 years of experience) in implementing projects with a gender perspective in the DRC's health sector in complex and insecure contexts
- they have a demonstrated track record of implementing successful projects in the DRC
- they have knowledge of GAC's operating policies and procedures, and no previous litigation with the Crown
- they have a demonstrated financial management capacity in the health sector, including managing projects valued at a minimum of Can$10 million
