Indo-Pacific Engagement Initiative
Global Affairs Canada’s Indo-Pacific Engagement Initiative (IPEI) is a new funding envelope created under the Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS). We designed the IPEI to connect Canadians with regional counterparts. Our objectives are to strengthen Canada’s engagement in the region, and accelerate Canada’s ability to develop effective networks and form strategic partnerships. The Regional Connectivity Envelope and the Outbound Scholarships and Fellowships for Canadians are two of five programs created under the IPEI.

Indo-Pacific Regional Connectivity Envelope
The Regional Connectivity Envelope (RCE) is part of Global Affairs Canada’s Indo-Pacific Engagement Initiative (IPEI). We designed the RCE to enhance connections between Canadian non-governmental and non-profit organizations, Canadian researchers and think tanks, and those in the Indo-Pacific region. We made it easier for Canadian organizations to participate in or organize events in the Indo-Pacific region, and in Canada, in cooperation with Indo-Pacific partners.
We have launched the Call for proposals, please refer to the Indo-Pacific Regional Connectivity Envelope – Call for proposals webpage for guidance on submitting a proposal.
