The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
Learn how Canada is contributing to the global goals for advancing sustainable development towards 2030.
In September 2015, the 193 member states of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The world is now focused on implementing the 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (commonly referred to as the “Global Goals”).
The 2030 Agenda is a global framework of action for people, planet, prosperity, peace, and partnership over the next 15 years. This universal Agenda aims to eradicate poverty and to leave no one behind.
The Government of Canada is committed to supporting the implementation of these Global Goals.
Working with our partners, we are striving to end poverty and inequality, and build peaceful societies and a healthy planet.
