Global Affairs Canada’s 2024 to 2026 Forward Regulatory Plan is a publicly available list of anticipated regulatory initiatives, with descriptions, that the department intends to propose or finalize within a two-year period.

Purpose
Forward regulatory plans are intended to give Canadians, including businesses and trading partners, opportunities to provide their feedback during regulatory development and alert them to future regulatory changes.
The Forward Regulatory Plan briefly describes each regulatory initiative and includes information such as:
- who may be affected by a regulatory initiative
- regulatory cooperation efforts undertaken or planned
- opportunities for public consultation
- links to related information or analysis
- contact information for Global Affairs Canada
Forward Regulatory Plan
The Forward Regulatory Plan is updated annually to reflect progress in regulatory development and changes to Global Affairs Canada’s regulatory priorities and operating environment.
