Regulations Amending the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Regulations

Whereas the Governor in Council is of the opinion that the circumstance described in subparagraph 4(2)(a)(ii) of the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law)^a has occurred;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, makes the annexed Regulations Amending the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Regulations under paragraph 4(1)(a) of the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law)^a.

Amendment

1 The schedule to the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Regulations¹ is amended by adding the following in numerical order:

74. Saeed MORTAZAVI (born in 1967)
75. Mohammad BAKHSHI
76. Magomed Khozhakhmedovich DAUDOV (born on February 26, 1980)
77. Apti Aronovich ALAUDINOV (born on October 5, 1973)
78. Ayub Vakhaevich KATAEV
79. Abuzayed Dzhandarovich VISMURADOV (born on October 24, 1975)
80. Min Aung HLAING

Application Before Publication

2 For the purpose of paragraph 11(2)(a) of the Statutory Instruments Act, these Regulations apply according to their terms before they are published in the Canada Gazette.

Coming into Force

3 These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
